Wreath Making Workshops 2016

For the past month we have held our annual wreath making workshops and, like usual, we had a blast at every single one! We are always blown away by the beauty these ladies create! The night always starts with a little wine (to get the creative juices flowing) and then chaos ensues as fresh greens and berries fly all over the shop while they get to work on the masterpiece. We like to use grapevine wreaths because not only can you use them year after year but they are also easier to adorn because you are not dealing with wiring in your greens and textures.

Each wreath turns out different and that's what we encourage and love. We want the end product to be a direct result of their own creativity and we are always impressed. Here's to looking forward to many more workshops at Sage in 2017!

Happy New Year!

2015 has now passed & 2016 is just beginning. We are beyond excited to see what the new year brings us! 2015 was like a new beginning for Sage in our new shop and now our minds are flooded with so many exciting things to bring our loyal clients.

Thank you for believing in us, supporting us and becoming our friends. We have grown tremendously each year since opening our first little shop and that is in huge thanks to all of YOU!

May 2016 bring you a wealth of health & happiness!

At Sage, we love the Holidays. We especially love getting to create beautiful, festive designs for our clients. This year we were drawn to natural elements such as big branches, birch poles, red Holland berries & luscious greens for the planters & window boxes. For décor, we focused on gold elements & pure white pots with vibrant greens. One of our favorite creations we did this year is the winter garden.

We will have lots of pre-made arrangements available at the shop through next week for Christmas as well as lots of great little teacher gifts (mini orchids, small cyclamen, driftwood signs by Lauren Rathbone). If you need a custom order make sure to let us know by Sunday December 21st!

Wreath Workshop #2

We had our second wreath workshop & it was another great night! These women did such an incredible job on their wreaths and had a blast while doing so! Our favorite part of these workshops has been seeing the uniqueness & beauty in each wreath. We especially loved getting pictures of the wreaths on everyone's doors!

We had many laughs over the two nights & can't wait to do it again next year. We had two dates for the wreath making workshop this year but since it was such a hit we will make sure to add more dates next Holiday season!

Last night was our first wreath making workshop at the new store & we had such a great time! Surrounded by grapevine, boxes of greens and pinecones and branches of eucalyptus & berries, 16 creative ladies made wreaths to adorn their homes for the Holidays. We were blown away by the different wreaths, each one being unique & so beautiful! Looking forward to many more workshops in 2016!

Welcome to the new Sage Market + Design!

So many exciting things have been happening over here at Sage! In June, we re-opened in our new location at 58 Merrimac St. in Horton's Yard next to our great new neighbors Get In Shape for Women and Interlocks! We couldn't be happier with our new home. We have the room we need (let's face it, we outgrew our old space fast!) and we are able to bring in a lot more beautiful items for our clients to see. We have the most amazing view of the river and boatyard (and rumor has it the location of the new hotel...). We have a separate workspace where we can work on our florals and plantings without the whole store looking like a hot-mess while we prep for a wedding. Everyone has been so supportive & the response to the new shop has been overwhelming! It's so amazing to hear people say such great things about our new home!

Also this summer we launched our new website! The very talented & sweet Becky from Salty Anchor Design (www.saltyanchordesign.com) is the creative behind our new site. As luck would have it Becky came into our old shop one day while I was there & mentioned what she does and how her business can help ours (and this just happened to come at a time when we were talking about giving our site an over-haul). A few months later, we reconnected with Becky and viola! The new site perfectly reflects where Sage is now compared to three years ago. Before our website was basically just an online shop (made before we opened in Newburyport) but now that we have our brick & mortar, our site can more reflect our work with our amazing clients! Thank you Becky!

And lastly, this blog is new to us too! Follow along with us as we continue to grow Sage & see where our business adventure takes us!
