Playing Catchup in 2019

Hi Everyone!

Happy New Year! We are doing some serious catching up here on our blog. I (Jordan) had a beautiful baby girl, Summer Sage, in July and have taken so time off to spend with my family and am now getting back into the game! This little lady took up lots of my time and I happily gave it to her but she’s becoming a little more independent so that is allowing me to catch up on some things, such as our website and blog!

We are going to be doing some changes/updates to our website this year but wanted do add some posts since we seriously slacked in 2018! We are going to be focusing a lot on online sales and adding more product to the website, including items not found in our brick & mortar so stay tuned! We are also going to be doing a lot of fun interior design projects this year as well and I promise to post about them!

Here’s to new happenings and updates in 2019!

Happenings at Sage!

I know there have been crickets on the blog for, well, the past 7 months but we are back and I wanted to fill you in on the reasons for our lack of posts....we have been REALLY busy! We are now in our 5th(!) year of business and as we have grown & changed so have our services. As I am sure some of you have heard we stopped working on weddings. We loved every couple we we were lucky enough to collaborate with but Bev & I have decided to put all our energy into Interior Design. Don't worry, we will still offer fresh florals in the shop as well as custom orders year round and Holidays.

My Mom and I sat down after the first of the year and talked about our dreams for SAGE and what we want to accomplish and what direction we see our brand going in the next 5 years. Interior Design has always been our first love and essentially the reason behind opening SAGE. Throughout the years, without us promoting this service much, we have had our clients invite us into their homes and businesses to help them decorate the space of their dreams. It is truly what we love to do.  Helping clients create their ideal living space or transform their business is what makes us excited and inspired so here we are now letting you know that SAGE offers full-service Interior Design services! We have been working on some very exciting projects recently and we will be doing a website revamp this Fall/Winter to reflect our new services and also to showcase our work so keep checking back! I have also created new social media pages just for our Interior Design services that is separate from the shop: Facebook is @SAGEdesign and Instagram is @sage_interior_design so you can follow along!

For those of you interested in our services I have included a small description below. We would love to work with you by bringing our aesthetic into your home or business so please contact Bev or I to learn more and set-up a consult! Thank you for your continued support over the past 5 years and we are looking forward to what the next 5 years brings!

Welcome to the new Sage Market + Design!

So many exciting things have been happening over here at Sage! In June, we re-opened in our new location at 58 Merrimac St. in Horton's Yard next to our great new neighbors Get In Shape for Women and Interlocks! We couldn't be happier with our new home. We have the room we need (let's face it, we outgrew our old space fast!) and we are able to bring in a lot more beautiful items for our clients to see. We have the most amazing view of the river and boatyard (and rumor has it the location of the new hotel...). We have a separate workspace where we can work on our florals and plantings without the whole store looking like a hot-mess while we prep for a wedding. Everyone has been so supportive & the response to the new shop has been overwhelming! It's so amazing to hear people say such great things about our new home!

Also this summer we launched our new website! The very talented & sweet Becky from Salty Anchor Design ( is the creative behind our new site. As luck would have it Becky came into our old shop one day while I was there & mentioned what she does and how her business can help ours (and this just happened to come at a time when we were talking about giving our site an over-haul). A few months later, we reconnected with Becky and viola! The new site perfectly reflects where Sage is now compared to three years ago. Before our website was basically just an online shop (made before we opened in Newburyport) but now that we have our brick & mortar, our site can more reflect our work with our amazing clients! Thank you Becky!

And lastly, this blog is new to us too! Follow along with us as we continue to grow Sage & see where our business adventure takes us!
