a sage holiday

Its been a while! November flew by, and somehow it is already mid-December with the holiday season in full swing. The shop is full of fresh greens, festive candles burning and our fav Jenni Kayne Holiday track playing- if you haven’t already, check it out on Spotify!

Whether you are hosting a full crowd, or enjoying a quiet night at home for the holidays, it is always fun to set a festive table setting. We are drawing inspiration from these beautiful tables;

Always start with your base layer, even when setting the table. Are you going to use a table cloth? Maybe a runner? Or go with both in a layered option? Once you’ve selected these, you can start layering plates, eye-catching florals, foliage, and candles for a styled finish. I love the wood grain of my dining table, so I’ll start with a minimal runner, something neutral (so it can be easily reused for other holidays for festivities too!).

Once your table is set with the necessities, next comes the fun part; decor! Snag a few greens from the bottom or back of your Christmas tree, or see what you can clip in your own yard. We have some faux options here at the shop too! Start with the largest greens and work your way up, laying in different textures and berries if you want to pull in some pops of red. You can’t go wrong, move pieces around and have fun!

Top your greens with pillar or taper candles, and you’re set. Snap some pics and tag us, we’d love to see what you created! @summeratsage or #sageathome

Sustainable and eco-friendly, this natural hemp runner is soft, durable and long lasting, and perfect for any event.

We can never say no to a natural placemat!

These guys are a linen closet staple; perfect year round and always a conversation starter!

Make a statement.

We cannot get enough of these glasses and how they instantly add elegance to any table setting. Available in a wine glass, stemless wine glass, coupe, champagne glass and decanter!

The Henlee collection raises the bar on designer candleholders. Teak root taper candleholders of varying heights are carved by hand, with a blackened ebony finish to enhance their natural aesthetic. Gather this set of five on the center of a dining table to create a staggering lightscape.
